Republican Post-Election Surprises In Store

We know the sociopathic Trump Republican Party is loathe to show its hand before an election when it comes to its plans for popular programs like Obamacare and Medicare/ Medicaid/ Social Security. But, on occasion and not intentionally, these vicious charlatans have their post- election plans exposed.

The Republican Supreme Court recently did its party a favor by declining to decide a case before the election that was brought by 21 Democratic State Attorneys General and the House of Representatives to expedite a decision on the constitutionality of Obamacare.  (You doubtless recall raving zealots in Republican State Attorneys General offices and Republican judicial crackpots in Texas and the Fifth Circuit supported a position "widely viewed as absurd" by legal scholars of all persuasions that the repeal of the individual mandate rendered the entire law unconstitutional.)  Regardless of Republicans' efforts to disguise what will be in store for millions of Americans should Trump and his rotted- out party prevail in November, you can be assured Democrats will make health care and Republican efforts to sabotage it for the past decade a major theme this year.

Then comes the Very Stable Genius, his unchained ego blabbing the quiet parts out loud from Davos:

We also have asshats that we never had.

You can read the full transcript here.

It would be political malpractice if this clip isn't in heavy rotation in Democratic ads from now until November, especially since he's pairing it with more... you guessed it ...  tax cuts that will balloon the deficit further and give Republicans their "pretext" for cutting their way out of the red ink via "entitlement reform."  That's the standard Republican playbook, the basic tenet of which is (not to beat a dead horse) "afflict the afflicted, and comfort the comfortable."

There are so many reasons we need a cathartic blue wave in November:  it's not only to flush out the Republican incompetence, corruption, bad faith and authoritarianism, but also to safeguard the protections for millions of Americans that progressives have worked so hard over the past 75 years to put in place.  When Republicans let slip what they plan to do should they retain power, believe them.
