Federal Judges To Meet On Political Interference
An emergency meeting has been called for today by the Federal Judges Association following the sinister intervention by lawless demagogue and would-be autocrat Donald "Impeached Forever" Trump and his corrupt consigliere William "Low" Barr in the sentencing phase of Trump's ally, dirty trickster Roger Stone's trial. Federal District Judge Cynthia Rufe will conduct a conference call involving the executive committee of the Association to discuss the meddling by Trump and Barr that prompted four seasoned U.S. prosecutors to resign from the case after their recommended sentence for Stone's seven felony counts was withdrawn. Rufe, who was nominated for the bench by President George Bush, indicated that there were "plenty of issues" that the judges are concerned about.
The trial judge in Stone's case, Federal District Judge Amy Berman Jackson, will hear today from Stone's defense lawyers and the Justice Department after the sentencing interference, and after Trump attacked her impartiality last week in one of his unhinged tweets. She's expected to question them on the decision to withdraw the original sentence recommendation, and Stone's cynical motion for a new trial.
