What Dems had been pushing for happened this morning. Governor Steve Bullock, the popular Dem governor of red state Montana, formally announced his run for the U.S. Senate. Today was the deadline for getting on the November ballot. He'll be facing Trumpist Sen. Steve "Don't Call Me Claire" Daines. Dem leaders up to and including President Obama were encouraging Bullock to run, making the push to flip the Senate a bit closer. Here's his powerful ad:
