Primaries Today: Vote!

Today's primary election day in six states, with 352 delegates. The states are scattered from the Midwest (Michigan and Missouri) to the South (Mississippi) to the Plains and West (North Dakota, Idaho and Washington), and represent a diverse electorate. Mississippi, Missouri, and North Dakota polls close at 8 p.m. Eastern, Michigan's at 9 p.m. Eastern, and Idaho and Washington's at 11 p.m. Eastern.

The key state to watch is Michigan, with by far the largest cache of delegates with 125, followed by Washington with 89. If former VP Biden carries Michigan by a significant, two-digit margin, and picks off Missouri and Mississippi, he'll continue  the momentum he gained on Super Tuesday. Washington is expected to be close; with the spread of COVID-19 there, the state fortunately has a mail-in ballot / online registration system which should lessen issues about in person voting.

Regardless of the outcomes of these and upcoming primary elections, unified support for whomever the Dem nominee is will be crucial to ousting demagogue and malignant narcissist Donald "Cheat-o" Trump from office in November. We'll say it again, "No matter who, vote blue."
