Democrats Win Big Victory In Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Republican voter suppression tactic of forcing voters to the polls in a pandemic has tanked spectacularly:
Democratic-backed Judge Jill Karofsky beat Republican-backed Judge Daniel Kelly, who was appointed by former Republican Gov. Scott Walker in 2016.

While state Supreme Court candidates in Wisconsin are technically nonpartisan, they are almost always aligned with or supported by political parties and serve ten-year terms on the court.

Karofsky's victory over Kelly now shifts the balance of the court from a 5-2 to a 4-3 conservative majority and will be an encouraging sign for Democrats hoping to recapture Wisconsin in the electoral college this November. (our emphasis)
That's a lot of blue outside the Democratic citadels of Milwaukee and Madison:

Needless to say, this is a huge victory for Democrats in this critical swing state, and another positive sign that, even with active Republican voter suppression in the most stressful times, the Blue Wave carries the day.  A great harbinger for November -- if we work and don't slack off.

In other news, Joe Biden won the primary, carrying roughly 63 percent of the vote.  On Wisconsin!
