Reputation Hurt, Birx Still Covers For Trump [UPDATED}

It's unfortunate, but was inevitable, that the White (Supremacist) House's coronavirus task force coordinator, the once-respected Deborah Birx, has become dangerous demagogue and moron vector Donald "COVID Donnie" Trump's defender of the indefensible, but here we are:
"Later in the day, Deborah Birx, a physician and the White House coronavirus response coordinator, defended the president’s comments about ingesting disinfectant — not as sarcasm, but as part of a deliberate, if unorthodox, thought process.

'When he gets new information he likes to talk that through out loud and really have that dialogue, and so that’s what dialogue he was having,' Birx said on Fox News Channel." (our emphasis)
Talking "out loud" about deadly remedies that his cult will take isn't "dialogue," it's reckless. This isn't Birx's first attempt to prop up Trump by covering for his dangerous, self-serving ineptitude. In March, she ridiculously praised Dear Leader with this outlandish statement, this time on the right-wing "Christian Broadcasting Network":
He’s been so attentive to the scientific literature and the details and the data,” Birx said. “I think his ability to analyze and integrate data that comes out of his long history in business has really been a real benefit during these discussions about medical issues.” (our emphasis)
Everyone knows Trump doesn't read, and his "history in business" is one of fraud (Trump University, Trump Foundation, etc.), bankruptcy (six times, Trump Taj Mahal, etc.), and cheating subcontractors out of payments. If that is what Birx thinks has "been a real benefit," to her task force, she needs to pack up her stethoscope and move on. Obsequiously cheerleading the Dear Leader isn't part of her job.

UPDATE: She's at it again, this time complaining about press coverage like the Dear Leader.
