Boom Goes The Kim-Trump Love Affair
The North Korean regime of murderous tyrant Kim Jong-Un blew up the Inter-Korean Joint Liaison Office in Kaesong, North Korea earlier today. Smoke was easily visible on the South Korean side of the Demilitarized Zone. The Office, which has been empty since the outbreak of COVID-19 in January, was used for communication between the North Korean regime and South Korea to lessen tensions.
North Korea remains under U.S. and U.N. sanctions for its nuclear weapons development program, sanctions which have crippled North Korea's corrupt command economy. Negotiation with the U.S. have not brought about any changes in North Korea's continued development of nuclear and ballistic missile technology, despite "summit" photo ops between Kim and malignant narcissist and dangerous buffoon Donald "Bunker Boy" Trump. Eschewing the advice of diplomatic experts, Trump started with summits with Kim, instead of the detailed work of negotiation and trust building, turning the summits into shallow, grip-and-grin photo opportunities which produced no positive results. Indeed, they bought Kim additional time to work on his military program and raised his international prestige, as he sent the narcissistic Trump "love letters" who took Kim's bait.
Not surprisingly, enter the Russian Federation to cynically call for "restraint" as the situation deteriorates. Trump's bungled, transactional approach to North Korea will ensure both Russia's and China's influence in the entire East Asia region will grow.
