Tweets Of The Day

Context: On his Fox "News" hate hour Monday night, trust fund "populist" and t.v. dinner heir Tucker "Mothertucker" Carlson decided he'd question the patriotism of Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL).  As everyone should know, Sen. Duckworth is a combat veteran who lost both her legs when her helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan in 2004. The smarmy Trump whisperer Carlson, who (like his hero) hasn't spent a minute of his cosseted life in public service, much less the military, was criticizing Sen. Duckworth's comments about having a national dialogue concerning removing monuments dedicated to former slave owners, including George Washington.  Here's what he said:
“You’re not supposed to criticize Tammy Duckworth in any way because she once served in the military,” Carlson said. “Most people just ignore her. But when Duckworth does speak in public, you’re reminded what a deeply silly and unimpressive person she is.”
“It’s long been considered out of bounds to question a person’s patriotism. It’s a very strong charge, and we try not ever to make it. But in the face of all of this, the conclusion can’t be avoided. These people actually hate America. There’s no longer a question about that,” Carlson claimed.
Of course, being the shit that he is, Carlson used a doctored tape to illustrate his vile slander.

Sen. Duckworth had the only reply necessary to smack down this worthless twerp:

Finally, a reminder that America haters are among Mothertucker's most loyal international following:

BONUS:  Commenter wjbill reminds us of former Sen. Max Cleland (D-GA), who lost both legs in combat in Vietnam, defeated in 2002 in a scurrilous re- election campaign by a Republican who didn't serve, who questioned Cleland's patriotism in a notorious ad.  Commenter Charles mentions the swiftboating of John Kerry.  This has been a party of rats for many, many, many years.
