Trump has expressed a desire to be included in each night's presentation, no surprise there. And the venue is in DC, in a Federal building just a five minute walk from the Trump hotel, also not a surprise. And the hotel just jacked up their rates for next week. It's a grift-a-minute!
The Party of Greed has no message to match Biden's. It's as clear a battle of Good vs Evil as there ever has been. They have very little to brag about in terms of success or accomplishments, so expect them to present Fear, Anger, and Lies. And there will undoubtedly be an Evangelical bent (or a bent Evangelical) to the mix.
And they lack minority support, so there will be some token dark faces who will literally echo Trump in his statement that he's done more for the Black community than any other president. I imagine Kanye will pop in, and Diamond and Silk. And since Trump's decimated the Latinx community, I'm not sure who he's got to represent him there.
So, while I watched every night of the Democratic Convention, cheered, clapped, and sometimes cried, I'm going to skip their version. Ours was light and decent and good. There's will be dark and scary and bad.
