Sunday Reflection: Love And Self-Sacrifice
"When Donald Trump calls anyone who places their lives in service of others 'a loser,' we understand Trump's soul. By his accounting, self-sacrifice does not make sense, love does not make sense. According to Trump, the winners in life are those that put themselves before all, and the losers are those that don't." Gold Star father Khzir Khan, eloquently and emotionally reacting to the confirmed reports that vicious sociopath and draft dodger Donald "Cadet Bone Spurs" Trump referred to fallen soldiers as "losers" and "suckers," which would have included his son.
Khan's son, Army Captain Humayun Khan, was killed in combat in Iraq in 2004 when he ordered his soldiers to halt while he advanced toward a suspicious vehicle that carried a suicide bomb. Captain Khan was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart posthumously. He's a hero, and his name should never come out of Cadet Bone Spurs' vile mouth.
