If it's been less than clear before, Mango Mussolini's desperate desire to remain in power is explained in his tax returns that the New York Times has reported on in an epic piece of investigative reporting (see post below). For him, it's clearly a matter of Presidential immunity, staying out of court and prison for probable tax evasion and fraud, and at some point, bank and wire fraud for manipulating the value of his assets to obtain foreign loans.
