They passed on the COVID-infected, Very Stable Genius again. The Nobel Peace Prize has once more eluded racist demagogue and would-be authoritarian Donald "Mango Mussolini" Trump. This year's Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the World Food Programme, the world's largest humanitarian organization dedicated to ending hunger in the world. The statement from the Norwegian Nobel Committee reads in part:
"The need for international solidarity and multilateral cooperation is more conspicuous than ever. The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the Nobel Peace Prize for 2020 to the World Food Programme (WFP) for its efforts to combat hunger, for its contribution to bettering conditions for peace in conflict-affected areas and for acting as a driving force in efforts to prevent the use of hunger as a weapon of war and conflict."
One would think that after tossing paper towels to victims of a hurricane in Puerto Rico, separating children from their families at our southern border, withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accords, threatening his political opponents with jail, and trying to extort a friendly government fighting off Russian aggression to obtain dirt on an opponent (for which he was impeached), etc., Mango Mussolini would have been a lock. Who'd a thunk it? Sad!
