"Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett isn’t going to answer any of the big questions truthfully, and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse knew that. So instead of inviting Barrett to be dishonest, Whitehouse explained the forces that put her in that Senate hearing room with the specific agenda—killing the Affordable Care Act, ending marriage equality, overturning Roe v. Wade—she is on the record as having (but is currently pretending not to have).

Whitehouse owned that room and did an amazing job of serving up the facts. Actually, most of the Democrats did a great job pushing back on Barrett and showing everyone what a hypocrite she is, and how unworthy and unprepared she is for her new position as a Supreme Court Justice. Anyone without a Republican agenda would have laughed her out of the room.
But she'll be confirmed and the honor and dignity of Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be shat upon. It enrages me that the very person who made Barrett's seat possible will have much of her work undone by Barrett. That's the worst thing.
donnah -- they clearly had a game plan and executed it well. There's a fury that will unleash itself at the polls over this hijacked seat. Afterwards, we need judicial reform to re- balance the courts, hopefully before too much damage is done by these crackpots.
Well said and all true. But the president will call the election at 8:01PM and declare himself winner. His Supreme Court will affirm his election and the will of 42% of America will be the law of the land. All the hand wringing and editorials and fist shaking won't matter one bit. And as my trumpanzee co workers say "It's payback time". Another example, Mitch McConnell is probably the most hated politician in America. Amy McGraw is trailing hm in Kentucky and will probably lose. And even if she wins and every other democrat wins the president will simply disband the house next year and appoint senators just like judges. Look at the attempted kidnapping of Governor Whitmer in Michigan. Think those charges will stick? Kyle Rittenhouse won't face charges in Illinois and the Wisconsin murder charges will be dropped soon. And he's sitting on over a million dollars in donations and the love and admiration of 90% of law enforcement.
Face it this is America now. The laughing stock of the world. Leading the league in fake virus deaths, the coming indictment of Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden for the "greatest political crime in history", and all this mentally ill despot has to do is tweet "LAW and ORDER" 100,000,000 likes. All because he's as smart as his supporters. And remember he's only going to take social security and Medicare from "those people" not good decent folks. They'll get trump care.
