"The Doc" Has A Prognosis

Rachel "The Doc" Bitecofer, who nailed the 2018 mid- term Democratic blue wave, prognosticates about what the signals, rather than noise, are telling her about 2020:

Bitecofer believes that November 3rd and the ensuing days and perhaps weeks that will be required to fully and accurately count the votes will be very kind to Democrats. She expects another blue wave, ushering in full Democratic control of government. Trump had a chance to change the trajectory early on in the pandemic, but he wasted it, “Trump is not capable of rational, strategic thought (which is why he should not be in the presidency.)” Despite mainstream media tendency to normalize him, Bitecofer notes, “Trump is not, and has never been, capable of behaving as a normal candidate.”

Rachel Bitecofer was eerily prescient in her 2018 predictions by focusing on the signal that voter behavior and the polls were sending. She has built her growing reputation on weeding out the noise of horserace media coverage. She sees the country becoming more blue in the November election. Whether Trump and the Republicans will accept the results willingly is another matter altogether.

Yeah, on that last point:  the bigger the blue wave, the less able Republicans will be able to contest the legitimacy of the election.  Not that they won't try, and not that a significant minority of them won't always believe a victory by Biden-Harris was "rigged," and act out in a disruptive or sporadically violent way. But at some point, this country will exit the nightmare reality show it's been living through for the past 4 years, and then the rebuilding and restoration begins.
