Last month, President-elect Joe Biden identified the Defense Department as being uncooperative in the transition process, not sharing important information and other game playing by soon-to-be ousted Trumpist hacks. Of all the Departments, the seamless transition at the Pentagon from one administration to another is vital to our national security, not that Kremlin asset and narcissistic loser Donald "Mango Mussolini" Trump cares about that in the least.
Now there are reports of conflicting signals involving a naval force sent to the waters off of Iran. Trump had been blustering about striking Iran if they engaged in hostilities on the first anniversary of the U.S.'s assassination of their late Quds Force commander, Gen. Qassim Suleimani. According to those reports, the carrier USS Nimitz is returning to its home port in Bremerton, WA in an appaarent move to "de-escalate" tensions in the region. Neophyte Acting Defense Secretary and Trump loyalist Christopher Miller was said to have ordered the withdrawal so as not to provoke Iran into an attack in Trump's final days; it's hard to believe that he would make such a move without White (Supremacist) House clearance. It may indicate that Trump is so preoccupied with his attempted coup that calmer heads have directed Miller to have the Nimitz return to port, hoping that Trump won't notice or care in his desperate, delusional state. Trump himself certainly doesn't want to do any favors for his successor.
It points to the absolute need for the Biden transition team to be cheek by jowl at the Pentagon as decisions like this are made, decisions which will have an impact on the Biden administration in just three weeks.
