Yesterday was a grueling rollercoaster. As a pessimist by nature, I wasn't expecting a win and conviction, but was heartened by the performance of the House Managers. But when you play a rigged game with s fixed jury, there's no win possible.
ReplyDeleteSo we listen to the gloating and bragging from smug Republicans, but it is my hope that they all do actually understand what Trump did and will live with whatever consequences result from that. He now is both free and empowered to fuck up the Republican Party even more than before, and I hope he shatters it into bitter shards. They made this monster, brought it to life, and it wrecked the Capitol and the GOP.
Now we regroup, redouble our efforts in securing an honest and fair voting system, beat Covid, and get the economy back, all under Biden's leadership. Let the Republicans deal with their monster; we have better things to do.
