News Item: Hundreds of Taiwanese change their names to Salmon for free sushi meal.
As a promotion, the popular Japanese sushi chain Sushiro promised a free sushi meal "to customers whose names included the traditional Chinese characters 'guiyu,' meaning salmon."
So many sushi-craving Taiwanese registered a name change with the government that it was forced to remind its too-clever-by-half citizens that the law only permitted three name changes in a lifetime. Therefore, temporarily changing your name to Salmon / guiyu and back again counts for two of the three allowed changes. Some divorced persons may be stuck with Salmon / guiyu as their name permanently. Which reminds us of the Taiwanese proverb: "You have to exSalmon the sushi deal before taking it."
