QOTD: Looking Into Putin's Eyes

“I wasn’t being a wise guy, I was alone with him in his office. That’s how it came about. It was when President [George W.] Bush had said I’ve looked in his eyes and saw his soul. I said I looked in your eyes and I don’t think you have a soul. And he looked back and said, ‘we understand each other.'" -- President Biden on "Good Morning America" recalling a private meeting in 2011 with Russia's murderous thug and dictator Vladimir Putin. In the same interview, Biden also promised that Russia would pay a price for meddling in the 2020 election, which yesterday's report from the intelligence community assesses that they did.  (Today the Administration applied more sanctions for the Navalny poisoning.)

What a vivid contrast with the former guy who never missed an opportunity to flatter, praise or otherwise kiss Putin's derrière, probably because he also lacks a soul.

That's a pretty ballsy thing to say to a guy in his own office. Love it.

bluzdude -- Absolutely. It's important that Putin realizes that Biden knows who he is and what he's about.
