He was a Students for Trump founder from Tennessee. He borrowed the name of "Eric Pope" of the fictitious Manhattan law firm of Pope & Dunn, but had no law degree or license to practice law. He scammed over $46,000 from people that he dispensed "legal" advice to. His real name is John Lambert, 25, and he's now a convicted felon, sentenced to 13 months in prison for impersonating a lawyer and defrauding "clients":
"Judge Valerie Caproni called Lambert 'a cold-blooded fraudster who cared not a whit about the victims of his fraud.'
She noted that one victim had expected Lambert — posing as a lawyer — to help with a credit problem.
'Mr. Lambert took his money and did nothing,' Caproni said. 'Mr. Lambert did not even have the common decency to make up an excuse and tell the victim to hire another attorney.'
That victim, whose name was redacted from public court filings, wrote that Lambert rarely responded unless there was a problem with processing payments. The victim wrote that Lambert became outraged when questioned about his legal 'work.'” (our emphasis)
If there were ever a portrait of a young Donald J. Trump, this is it. Lambert's problem is that he doesn't have a multi-millionaire father to pay for things like "bone spurs" diagnoses, attorney's fees, and other expenses incurred by a reckless, amoral and predatory sociopath. It's fitting that Lambert founded a group dedicated to his role model. He has a bright future in the Rethuglican / Insurrectionist Party / White Supremacist Party.
