That no one was able to move him off of his disastrous position is also a failure to be reckoned with.

Whatever you do, don't read Joe Biden's 2005 speech to the Senate defending the filibuster.
"Biden argued vociferously that ending the filibuster “would eviscerate the Senate and turn it into the House of Representatives.”
