The Beltway media seem to love a good war, one that they can cover and opine on. It gives fresh energy to their dwindling corps of oversees derring-do reporters / pundits, embedded with and protected by our troops. Ratings surge, too.
However, watching the talking heads solicit the critical opinions of the people that got us into these interminable wars is galling (see post below). They seem to be almost as invested in military adventures as our weapons manufacturers judging from the on-air company they keep.
