The over 700,000 deaths from COVID-19 are represented by small white flags on the National Mall in Washington. Many of the family and friends of the deceased have written on a flag to express their loss.
COVID remains a pandemic among the unvaccinated, a monument to misinformation, MAGA nuttery, and fear.
