Unhinged Christofascist and seditionist retired Trumpist Gen. Michael Flynn went beyond his usual right-wing, QAnon quackery yesterday and called for "one religion" in the U.S. At a meeting of far-right evangelicals in San Antonio, Texas, Flynn said this:
“If we are going to have one nation under God, which we must, we have to have one religion. One nation under God, and one religion under God.”
The First Amendment guarantees freedom of religion (and from religion) as one of the bedrock rights for all Americans. A deranged Flynn doesn't understand the Constitution that he once swore an oath to defend, and is delivering remarks that would be more in keeping with an ISIS rally. Of course he and his Christofascist cohort would be dictating the "only" religion. Also note in the linked article that smarmy right-wing opportunist Josh Mandel, the Jewish Republican politician running for Senate in Ohio, tweeted that "we stand with General Flynn." Is he planning to convert to Flynn's "one religion?"
It's a disgrace that this convicted felon is still collecting the retirement pay of a Lieutenant General. After suggesting that the Government should be overthrown earlier this year, the Pentagon should have called him back to active duty and promptly court- martialed and stripped of his pay. There's still time.

Mormons are closer to Islm then christians with their demotion of Jesus from a manifestation of God to just another prophet. Sciencetologist's are probably not happy either.

Perhaps he will follow Putin's lead and make the Russian Orthodox as the mandatory cult in charge of the magic man in the sky delusional.
