Arizona has one of the most unhinged and dangerously disturbed Members of Congress in Rep. Paul Gosar (Sedition-AZ). In the past two elections, even Gosar's six siblings campaigned for his opponent, a sign that he's off the rails and into the tall grass. As recently as this summer, they've called for his removal from office. He's a key figure in the coup caucus that lent support to the violent, Trumpist insurrectionists on January 6, and will likely be questioned further on his role. He's also frequently tied to neo-Nazi and white supremacist organizations.
On Sunday night, in what was a twisted and disturbing tweet even by Gosar's standards, he tweeted out a link to an altered anime video depicting Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a target of right-wing extremists, being slashed and killed by Gosar in the form of a fictional "Titan." According to reports, the video continued with Gosar killing a "Titan" with President Biden's face superimposed. Gosar's tweet was flagged by Twitter as violating their policy against "hateful conduct," blocking likes, replies or retweets but not blocking access to it.
As his siblings have suggested, he needs to be removed from office and under psychiatric treatment, but as long as House minority leader Rep. Kevin "Qevin" McCarthy has a say, he'll remain where he is.
