This is the topic that's trending #1 on Twitter, so we're going to go with the flow today:
Dems no longer feeling constrained in comments on Sen Manchin. Rep. Jayapal, saying he "betrayed" the president, fellow Dems and the country. "He routinely touts that he is a man of his word, but he can no longer say that. West Virginians, and the country, see clearly who he is."

"He's continued to move the goal post. He has never negotiated in good faith and he is obstructing the President's agenda." - Democratic Rep. Ayanna Pressley on Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin saying he won't vote for the Build Back Better Act. https://t.co/eMGDIhZLL0 #CNNSOTU pic.twitter.com/xximGZSIxm

"Senate Dem Joe Manchin accepted more than $1.5m from Republican and corporate interests opposed to Build Back Better as of September, Guardian US reported this month."

It's really, really, really important not to treat this moment as if only progressives got knifed by Manchin. Moderate Dems absolutely did too: https://t.co/6aZUSEKi8O

You will be better served in the short term talking about how Manchin just decided to put 300K WV kids back into poverty than calling him a liar, however satisfying calling him a liar is.
One Senate seat just means so much.

If Kelly Ayotte had won in 2016, ACA would have been repealed in 2017. If Cal Cunningham had won in 2020, BBB would be on its way back to the House.
FWIW, we don't think he's been "negotiating in good faith" on a filibuster carve out for voting rights. Prove us wrong!
