A Clash of Charlatans -- the Malignant Loser vs. the Dull Sociopath:
Donald Trump is trashing Ron DeSantis in private as an ingrate with a "dull personality" and no realistic chance of beating him in a potential 2024 showdown, according to sources who've recently talked to the former president about the Florida governor. [snip]
"In the context of the 2024 election, he usually gives DeSantis a pop in the nose in the middle of that type of conversation," said a source who recently spoke to Trump about DeSantis. [snip]
A second source who's discussed DeSantis with Trump said the reason for the former president's irritation with the popular governor is "that Ron DeSantis won't say he won't run [in 2024]. ... The others have stated pretty clearly they won't challenge him."
The Malignant Loser has recently been stepping up his not-very-veiled attacks on DeSantis, implying that he's "gutless" on vaccines (a stopped clock, etc., etc.).
As for DeSantis -- an anti- mask, anti-vax mandate cynical sociopath whose COVID policies have caused untold unnecessary deaths in Florida -- he will continue to keep his options open while undercutting the Malignant Loser behind the scenes at every opportunity. Most recently, he took a shot at the Malignant Loser assministration's decision early in the pandemic to go to lockdown to mitigate spread. It's hard to be more of a sociopath than the Malignant Loser, but somehow DeSantis has found that lane.
