At a rally in Texas last night for his most devoted cultists, the Malignant Loser lamented the "unfair" treatment of the domestic terrorist thugs who trashed the Capitol on his behalf on January 6, suggesting that if he's elected in 2024, there will be pardons passed out to them. Or, translated from mob speech, "don't cooperate with the authorities, do time / pay a fine, and I'll make you whole later." In the same rant, he also called for massive demonstrations / riots if he is prosecuted for his numerous crimes (seditious conspiracy, fraud, election tampering, money laundering, etc. etc.)
The Justice Department is pursuing seditious conspiracy charges against members of the right-wing paramilitary group the "Oath Keepers" who provided much of the strong-arming when the Capitol was breached and Capitol and Metropolitan D.C. police were injured and overwhelmed. Earlier this month, Attorney General Merrick Garland pledged to hold:
"....all January 6th perpetrators, at any level, accountable under law — whether they were present that day or were otherwise criminally responsible for the assault on our democracy. We will follow the facts wherever they lead."
The Malignant Loser's statements concerning his failed coup need to be part of the body of evidence against him, not only for his catalytic role in the insurrection but his attempts at January 6 witness tampering by dangling future pardons to discourage their cooperation with authorities.
