Mostly street scenes from 100 years ago in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, London, Berlin, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Paris, Nice, Geneva, Milan and Venice. One thing is for certain: with the anarchic traffic conditions, driving or walking these streets would have been a significant health hazard!
Interesting stuff, thanks for posting. Curious that that one street in Amsterdam was so jammed with people standing still -- no room for cars at all.
ReplyDeleteInfidel-- I'm wondering if it was a street along one of the canals; I seem to recall some were too narrow for cars, but accommodated bicycles and, of course, pedestrians.
