For Women's Futures Month, the Smithsonian is celebrating women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) with 120 amazing 3D-printed statues that will be placed on and around the National Mall in Washington, D.C. According to the Smithsonian, the statues represent a:
"diverse coalition of contemporary women STEM innovators and role models leading a variety of fields, from protecting wildlife, discovering galaxies, building YouTube’s platform, to trying to cure cancer."Here's a link to a gallery of the women honored with these statues. Check out this virtual tour, too. Congratulations to these STEM stars.
The statues will be on display from March 5 - March 27.
