Recent MAGA cult convert who once bashed the Malignant Loser as an "idiot" and more, J.D. "J.P. Morgan Mandel" Vance, won a plurality of votes for the Republican / Trumpist nomination for Ohio's Senate seat. Vance, who won the Malignant Losers' endorsement after abject, humiliating kowtowing to him, won only 32% of the vote, with runner up crazy Josh Mandel getting 23.8% and Trump skeptic Matt Dolan getting 23.4%. The fact that the Malignant Loser's candidate didn't come anywhere near the 50% mark is a sign that his endorsement doesn't carry the weight he thinks it does with his cult.
In good news, Dem candidate Rep. Tim Ryan handily won the nomination with nearly 70% of the vote over his competitors. Ryan, whose district contains both Youngstown and Akron, is a pro-labor, working families style candidate, whose message should resonate beyond Dems to independents and disaffected Republicans in the fall. It will be an uphill fight in purple to red Ohio, but one worth fighting with a candidate like Ryan.
