Walker: The Trump Cult's Tainted GA Candidate

Friday, we chronicled the gubernatorial primary race in Georgia between likely winner Gov. Brian Kemp and former Senator and Big Lie liar David "Per-don't" Perdue, whom even his main endorser the Malignant Loser has washed his hand of. Another race for the Republican / Great Replacement nomination for the Senate is likely to be a cakewalk on Tuesday for former NFL star and alleged wife abuser Herschel "Take A" Walker, a rabid Trumpist who has received his cult leader's "complete and total endorsement."

Walker's real notoriety isn't name recognition or adherence to the most right-wing, white supremacist nostrums of Trump World. It's his various scandals, large and small. Perhaps that's one reason, in addition to his ignorance of issues and volatile temperament, why he ducked every debate with his primary opponents, leaving an empty podium to represent him. Now, he's facing renewed scrutiny over his ties to a sketchy veterans support program, according to the Associated Press:

"In interviews and campaign appearances, the former Dallas Cowboy and Heisman Trophy winner takes credit for founding, co-founding and sometimes operating a program called Patriot Support. The program, he says, has taken him to military bases all over the world.

'About 15 years ago, I started a program called Patriot Support,' Walker said in an interview with conservative commentator Hugh Hewitt last October. 'People need to know I started a military program, a military program that treats (thousands) of soldiers a year,' he told Savannah TV station WTGS in February.

But corporate documents, court records and Senate disclosures reviewed by The Associated Press tell a more complicated story. Together they present a portrait of a celebrity spokesman who overstated his role in a for-profit program that is alleged to have preyed upon veterans and service members while defrauding the government."  (our emphasis)

Walker's no stranger to puffing up his resume or flat out lying about it, as noted in the first link, above. None of this has seemed to matter to the Malignant Loser's rotted-out cult, who value power and celebrity over competence, honesty, and decency any day of the week. Fittingly, he'll face his opposite in the November general election, Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock: knowledgable, honest, serving others, and the image of integrity. If Walker can summon the guts to show up, we're looking forward to the two of them debating.
