In a new poll conducted by NBC News after the FBI search warrant was executed on the Malignant Loser's Mar-a-Lago club, 57% of voters believe the investigations into his alleged criminal activity should continue. Illustrating that Dems have their work cut out in getting their message and accomplishments out, the poll also indicates three quarters of the public thinks the country is moving in the wrong direction.
President Biden's numbers also remain in the low 40s, despite passing landmark legislation for climate change, prescription drug costs and gun control. The poll also indicates that Dems are closing the generic poll gap, with a narrow 47 to 45 percent preferring a Republican Congress. Conversely, 58% of voters disapprove of Roe v Wade being overturned by the Trump-heavy Supreme Court. Enthusiasm among Dems has also grown to 66% expressing a high level of interest, while Republicans enthusiasm has been sliding. In a positive turn for Dems, the most pressing issue among voters is "threats to democracy" above cost of living and the economy.
Dems are notoriously bad in getting a positive message out of successes that both appeals to a broad swath of voters, and defines what will be lost if they vote for Republicans. They can't blow this election cycle and pave the way for political mischief and worse for the next two years and beyond.
