“'Mr. Jones did you know that 12 days ago your attorneys messed up and sent me an entire digital copy of your entire cell phone with every text message you’ve sent for the past two years and when informed did not take any steps to identify it as privileged or protect it in anyway, and as of two days ago it fell into my possession and that is how I know you lied to me when you said you didn’t have text message about Sandy Hook? Did you know that?'
"Jones seemed stunned. 'This is your Perry Mason moment,' he said." -- Attorney for Sandy Hook parents Mark Bankston, questioning utterly vile far-right hate propagandist Alex Jones in a Texas courtroom yesterday. Jones had lied during the discovery process that he had no messages relating to his evil, repeated statements that the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre was staged. Bankston went on to suggest that the lying degenerate had committed perjury, asking Jones, "You know what perjury is, right?"
Jones was actively involved in the January 6 violent insurrection, likely exchanging messages with Republican / Trumpist politicians, fellow insurrectionists and Trump's inner circle (and perhaps the Malignant Loser himself). Two years worth of messages should be of great interest to the Justice Department, or as Bankston put it in a hot mic moment according to NBC News:
“You know what nobody’s thought about yet? What happens when that phone goes to law enforcement.”
UPDATE: Bankston just said in court that the January 6 committee has asked for Jones' messages.
