In a grand political anti-climax, the Malignant Loser announced he's running for President in 2024 after months of teasing and hinting. It was a fairly low-energy performance, despite being full of the usual spite and grudges, lies and half-truths, and violent, apocalyptic imagery. It was the standard Malignant Loser signaling that nothing has changed for him, even after he led a deadly coup to overthrow the 2020 elections based on his sinister Big Lie and conspiracy mongering.
It was the moment many Republicans, who have tired of his demagogic schtick dreaded, especially coming before the Senate runoff elections in Georgia, as he makes everything about himself again. The Malignant Loser, fresh off of disastrous mid-term elections where his major endorsed candidates embarrassingly lost, is running in an effort undermine multiple ongoing investigations by falsely claiming "political persecution," and as a way to intimidate his presumed rivals for the nomination. He'll have his rabid cult boosting him, even though the right wing media machine appears to want another candidate (Murdoch has already signaled to the Malignant Loser he won't get support from his media empire -- we'll see). After his mid-term elections flop, many of his potential challengers see an opening and are trying to figure out how to win over wavering members of his cult following. Stay tuned.
