Following his low-energy announcement of a 2024 Presidential run, the Malignant Loser has been confronted with less than enthusiastic reactions, especially as he's been marked as a "loser" for handpicking other losers like Kari "The Flake" Lake, Dr. Mehmet "Crudites" Oz, and Herschel "How Many Abortions" Walker as Senate candidates. It doesn't help that the law is closing in on him from multiple directions, led by Special Counsel Jack Smith who is driving both the classified documents and the January 6 attempted coup investigations. The Malignant Loser's been holing up at his Merde- O- Lardo club for the past month, moping over his legal and political losses and threatening to shred the Constitution. Vanity Fair's terrific Bess Levin picks it up:
"Yes, it’s been a pretty, pretty, pretty rough time for the ex-president of the United States, and the hits continued to come this week when a pair of new polls showed Ron DeSantis, his theoretical rival for the 2024 nomination, thrashing him at the ballot box.
One of those polls, conducted by USA Today and Suffolk University and released on Tuesday, put the Florida governor ahead of the former president by a massive 23 points. The other, released by The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, gave DeSantis a slightly smaller but still quite large 14-point lead over Trump. While Trump does not appear to have commented on the results, one can assume they’ve gone over about as well as the time Donald Trump Jr. allegedly tried to wear a Yankees jersey to a Yankees game. Last month, Trump the Elder basically shat a brick over DeSantis’s ascendancy within the Republican Party, (and in doing so implied he committed a major crime). As one Trump insider put it in a message viewed by The Guardian, the ex-POTUS is 'in trouble.'” (our emphasis)
With their mid-term losses flashing red warning lights to the Republican / New Confederate / Sedition party, several have made noises about "moving on" from the Malignant Loser, not his policies or positions mind you, just him personally. Sadly for them, the Malignant Loser leads a cult that won't accept knock off versions of the original, no matter how extreme and vicious.
