QOTD -- Same Answer

(Kevin Wallace, NYAG's senior counsel): "From at least 2005 through the present, you've had an ongoing agreement with Mr. Weisselberg and Mr. McConney that they would prepare the Statement of Financial Condition in a manner that included valuations that depended on false and misleading assumptions as a means of inflating reported values; is that correct?" ...

"Same answer."  -- The Malignant Loser, in his August 10, 2022, deposition in New York Attorney General Leticia James' civil fraud investigation, invoking his Fifth Amendment right against self- incrimination more than 400 times.  It's significant because a jury in a civil case can make adverse inferences about someone taking the Fifth.  Anyone with a clear conscience who hadn't committed false and misleading statements would have no problem answering that or any of the other questions to which the Malignant Loser took the Fifth, right?

Part of his deposition had been obtained by CBS News (video here).
