Narcissistic right-wing megalomaniac and company destroyer Elon "Chief Twit" Musk tweeted back on December 22 that he was declining an invitation to attend the World Economic Forum meeting this week in Davos, Switzerland. The only problem: the event organizers say the Chief Twit wasn't even invited. From the Associated Press:
"The World Economic Forum says billionaire Elon Musk wasn’t on the guest list for the annual meeting of business executives, global leaders and cultural trend-setters in Davos, Switzerland — despite what the Twitter owner claims.
Notables from European Union chief Ursula von der Leyen to actor Idris Elba are gathering in the ritzy Alpine town this week to talk about global issues ranging from war to climate change and technology’s effects on security.
Musk wasn’t there, though he says he was invited. Forum spokesman Yann Zopf knocked that down Tuesday, saying the last time the Tesla CEO got an invitation was “not this year and not recently — last time in 2015.” (our emphasis)
We realize that Musk thinks he's without peer, but more than any event in the world, these are his peers, and it seems they don't want him around. It must pain him that he's been shunned for years by the global "elites", national leaders and business tycoons that he desperately wants to impress and be seen rubbing shoulders with. As his political counterpart the Malignant Loser might say, Sad!
