There is reporting that the Malignant Loser has been privately discussing a national ban on abortions after 16 weeks should he be elected in November, underlining the danger he poses to women's reproductive rights. The Malignant Loser's campaign, fearing negative press from this report, has labeled it as "fake news" according to the Associated Press story. They've observed the backlash to the Supreme Court's ruling overturning Roe v. Wade in recent elections and referendums in critical states where MAGA Republicans were defeated.
Notwithstanding that, in the past year the Malignant Loser's bragged about killing Roe v. Wade by appointing three so-called "pro-life" justices to the Supreme Court, and has said in the past that women having abortions should be punished. He's hoping that his anti-choice message will be heard only by his cult and not the general public.
His purported position immediately won praise from the far-right anti-choice group Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, which has promoted a 15-week national ban:
“'President Trump is leading on finding consensus, and this is where the nation is,' said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser."
Actually, the nation is strongly pro-choice, and the Malignant Loser knows that, but has to keep his anti-choice, misogynist base happy.
Dems see the report as further evidence that the Malignant Loser and his Christofascist followers will attack remaining protections on reproductive rights (even contraception) if he gets into the Oval Office, per the Associated Press report:
"Democrats and abortion-rights groups seized on the Times report, with President Joe Biden saying it showed abortion rights would be a central issue in the 2024 election. He said Trump was 'running scared' by not publicly saying what he would do about abortion.
'He’s afraid the women of America are going to hold him responsible for taking away their rights and endangering their rights at the ballot box in November,' Biden said in a statement. “Which is exactly what’s going to happen.'”
The Malignant Loser's stealth approach to a national abortion ban won't work, and it promises to be a decisive issue in November as women mobilize to take back their rights.
