Now do Conde and Carrie Budoff "Bugger off" Brown, the NBC News execs who thought it was a great idea to hire the fake electors conspirator.
Donald Trump is peddling a new version of a Bible published by Grammy-winning country singer-songwriter Lee Greenwood.
In a three-minute, 15-second Holy Week message posted Tuesday on his Truth Social account, the former president and presumptive 2024 Republican nominee wrote "Let's Make America Pray Again" and accompanied his message with a video touting a "God Bless the USA Bible," which costs $59.99.
"It's very important and very important to me," Trump says in the video. "I want to have a lot of people have it. You have to have it for your heart, for your soul. Many of you have never read them and don't know the liberties and rights you have as Americans, and how you are being threatened to lose those rights.
"It's happening all the time," he continued. "It's a very sad thing that's going on in our country. But we're gonna get it turned around. Religion and Christianity are the biggest things missing from our country." [Ed. -- at this point, if the Bible is to be believed, he should have combusted.]
According to a website for the Bible for sale, the product includes a handwritten chorus to "God Bless the U.S.A." by Greenwood, the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence and the Pledge of Allegiance. The only offering is the King James version, with no other versions available. [snip]
The promotional messaging by Trump and Greenwood on social media comes one day after Trump seemingly compared his legal plight to Jesus Christ's persecution. In connection with his New York state civil fraud case, in which his bond was reduced from the $464 million he originally owed to $175 million, Trump shared a Bible verse, Psalm 109:3–8, on his Truth Social account. It was sent to him by an undisclosed individual. [snip]
"Unrepentant grifter Trump is so desperate for cash that he's selling a 'God Bless the USA' Bible," wrote the X account Project Lincoln. "How much money do you think Trump gets off each sale?"
"One day after he compared himself to Jesus Christ, Trump is now selling a $60 'Trump endorsed' Bible," Republicans Against Trump posted. "Grifter gonna grift."
X user Ben Howe responded by quoting another Bible passage, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, which states: "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds."... (our emphasis)
They'll sell like the devil.
