When Polls Close On Super Tuesday

Polls are open in 16 States and one territory (American Samoa) participating in today's "Super Tuesday" primary elections/ caucus, where more than one- third of the delegates to the Democratic and Christofascist Republican conventions will be chosen. The 16 states that will vote on Super Tuesday are Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont and Virginia.

Alaska will only vote on Christofascist Republican candidates and Iowa is only voting on Democratic candidates.

American Samoa, will cast ballots in the Democratic race as well.

Here are the closing times (Eastern time):

  • 7 p.m. ET: Polls close in the Virginia and Vermont primaries.
  • 7:30 p.m. ET: Polls close in North Carolina.
  • 8 p.m. ET: Polls close in Alabama, Maine, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Tennessee and most of Texas.
  • 8:30 p.m. ET: Polls close in Arkansas
  • 9 p.m. ET: Polls close in Colorado, Minnesota and the rest of Texas.
  • 11 p.m. ET: Polls close in California and in Utah's Republican caucuses.

We would encourage Democrats (and independents in open primary states -- see link above) to turn out in Democratic primary states and show your support for the candidate who's going to be taking on the democracy- destroying Malignant Loser in November -- President Biden.

There are also multiple states with important downballot races and local ballot issues to consider.
