As you likely know, founding Allman Brothers Band guitarist/ singer/ songwriter Dickey Betts passed away yesterday at the age of 80. His seminal contributions not just to the band, but to country rock/ Americana music in general can't be overemphasized. We're featuring two of his compositions, his beautiful instrumental "Jessica" -- a tribute to Django Reinhardt and named after his daughter -- and the Allman Brothers' only top 10 song, the iconic "Ramblin' Man," which also showcases his guitar virtuosity and his classic country voice. R.I.P.
