Jazz pianist and composer Keith Jarrett turns 79 today, but his virtuoso piano playing will be listened to for decades to come. Jarrett, who suffered a series of strokes recently that render him unable to play, played with greats like Art Blakely and Miles Davis before forming his group in the 1970s, as well as performing solo. His music is a brilliant fusion of jazz, classical and blues genres. Here's Blackberry Winter from his 1977 album Bop-Be. Enjoy the effortless beauty of Jarrett's sound.
