Sunday Reflection

"An honest man, armed with all the knowledge available to us now, could only state that in some sense, the origin of life appears at the moment to be almost a miracle, so many are the conditions which would have had to have been satisfied to get it going." -- English molecular biologist and neuroscientist Francis Crick (6/8/1916 - 7/28/2004) in "Life Itself: Its Origin and Nature," 1981.

Crick, who once remarked "evolution is cleverer than you are," was an English molecular biologist and neuroscientist whose research along with James Watson, Rosalind Franklin and Maurice Wilkins, led to the discovery of DNA, i.e. the process of how living material transfers information generation to generation.
