In a rambling, dishonest speech to an event in Washington, D.C. yesterday, the Malignant Loser suggested that if he loses in November, American Jews will be partly to blame. Complaining that he "hasn't been treated properly" by the Jewish community, he cited baseless numbers that he's supported by 40% of Jewish voters (Biden won 68% of the Jewish vote in 2020). ABC News reports on his remarks at the "Fighting Anti-Semitism in America" event:
"'I'm at 40%; that means you got 60% voting for somebody that hates Israel,' Trump said, alluding to the vice president. 'It's only because the Democrat[s] hold a curse on you. You can't let this happen. 40% is not acceptable because we have an election to win.'
Trump continued, 'I really haven't been treated right, but you haven't been treated right because you're putting yourself in great danger, and the United States hasn't been treated right.'
'I'm not going to call this as a prediction, but in my opinion, the Jewish people would have a lot to do with the loss. If I'm at 40%, I'm at -- think of it, that means 60% of voting for Kamala, who in particular is a bad Democrat. The Democrats are bad to Israel, very bad." (our emphasis)
It's shocking that he gets the Jewish votes that he does, given his history of anti-Semitic tropes. There's also the "fine people on both sides" comment after the 2017 Charlottesville march of neo-Nazis and the KKK, carrying tiki torches and chanting "Jews will not replace us." Even his own running mate once suggested Trump could be "America's Hitler."
There's plenty not to like in the Malignant Loser for Jewish voters, and they'll show it in November.
