I am among those who mock the MAGA cult zombies when they do stoopid things. But, Coachella made me change the mocking to concern. I expected days of complaint twiXts about what Trump "did to my family in the hot desert" and I saw none. And now, I just really believe the 250 or so people still there in Traverse City when Trump arrived need all the de-programming we can provide for them. They were already cold and tired when Trump, already more than an hour late, broadcast a video from his comfy warm jet to say "I had to stay in Austin a little late after the Joe Rogan show to meet some important people [unlike you]. When I get to you in about two hours, we'll have some exciting surprises to make it worth staying!" Trump did nothing but show his most ardent, mentally-dysfunctional supporters an old man in an overcoat...no fun or surprises. And, they cheered! Here he was, in the obese orange flesh! When you are so shut down physically and emotionally that your own needs are ignored; the chill in your bones goes unrecognized; the screaming pain in your hips, knees, calves, and feet goes unheeded; and, the self-respect and dignity you should proudly feel in your human soul is betrayed by someone who literally owes his TV and political life to you...you are in a dangerous, abusive cult and I am afraid for your well-being and future! I am so sad for these people. 😞
