Thank you for the cat rescue! Any positive animal stories after natural disasters are welcome! I have seen too many stories of people leaving animals behind, roped or caged with no chance of fleeing, and I want to do serious physical damage to anyone who would do such a thing! This morning, I saw footage of a half-destroyed home (and I hope the human creatures are OK) with a large aquarium against one wall. It has debris in it and several small fish swimming. I have no idea if any fish were injured or killed. But, I can't get past a feeling that, if you had time to flee, then EVERY living creature for which you have taken on responsibility should be top of the list of what you take as you go. If you created that tiny zoo in your home, but treat it like a lava lamp to simply enjoy for your calm, I wanna have a word! In case you are wondering, I don't like big zoos either...animals are not our entertainment. They are alive and worthy of our respect and caring...I don't believe any zoo can meet that standard no matter how they try! Yah, I'm a bleeding heart for anything that has a bleeding heart! 🥰
