Chicago's Unique Architecture: The Loop, Marina City, And More (UPDATED)

With Chicago in the news (because we've got a chaotic fascist in the White House who's desperately trying to distract from the Epstein files and establish precedent for an authoritarian takeover), let's look at some of the famous buildings in the "City with big shoulders," one of America's most beautiful. Architect Lynda Dossey goes on a walking tour of The Loop, Marina City, and other downtown areas to learn about the architecture there that's part of what makes Chicago the great city that it is, without ICE and the National Guard.

UPDATEMeanwhile, here's what that Malignant Fascist wants to do in Chicago.

  1. My old boss was an architecture hobbyist and going out for lunch downtown often included an enjoyable lecture on the buildings above us. At the time never really appreciated how nice it was to walk from home to the train, hop on, and after a half hour ride, a beautiful fifteen minute walk to work. As my dad used to say, what's 3/7ths of a chicken, 2/3rds of a cat, and half a goat? (Not sure why he said it...)
