Would you trust this semi- literate moron with your health information? Then:
Now: here's clip from his news conference yesterday (with Brainworm providing his keen medical knowledge pseudoscience quackery) on the subject of the (non-existent) causal effects of acetaminophen on autism, with rebuttals from actual scientists and doctors who are autism experts and advocates:
More reactions from doctors and scientists here. And here. See also the grifty Dr. Oz/ Amazon leucovorin connection below in comments.
Are we Making America Healthy Again yet?
🤬💩 As with all things in Trumpworld, Follow. The. Money.!! Not only is there no need to scare pregnant women about acetaminophen, the pushing of leucovorin as a treatment for autism is a huge grift!! The two biggest sellers of leucovorin in the US are iHerb (a Dr. Oz joint) and Amazon! What an amazing coincidence!! 💰💰 Leucovorin is cheap right now, but once they get people hooked, I imagine these drug pushers will increase the price!! 🤬🤬
ReplyDeleteCleora -- good catch!
ReplyDelete🫣 Oops! Actually, I didn't catch an important part of Trump's off-script BS about Cuba and acetaminophen and autism! Trump said Cuba doesn't have autism because nobody there can afford Tylenol...WTF?! Al Jazeera caught it and reported on it:
Delete"And finally, is it true, as Trump claims, that autism does not exist in Cuba?
It’s untrue – and if anything, Cuba undercuts Trump’s argument.
Cuba officially recognises autism spectrum disorder (ASD). There are multiple specialised schools and paediatric clinics that provide diagnosis and therapy for children with autism.
In Cuba, acetaminophen is generally known as paracetamol and is sold in government pharmacies. In other words, it is very much available and used as in other parts of the world.
According to a 2022 study, Cuba had an autism incidence of about 2 to 4 per 10,000 children in some settings. While research on autism diagnoses in Cuba is much more limited than in the US, the data from the 2022 study shows a far lower rate of recognised cases than in the US – despite the presence of acetaminophen."
🤪 Trump couldn't pronounce acetaminophen so he kept using the brand name Tylenol. When will he get sued and for how much?! 🤞🤣
