Tariff Decision Reportedly Imminent (UPDATED)

Several sources are reporting that the Supreme Court is about to rule on the power of the deluded Malignant Fascist to levy tariffs on imported goods, a taxing power that has always been reserved under the Constitution for Congress.  From CNBC:

"The Supreme Court may decide the fate of President Donald Trump’s tariff agenda as soon as Friday — and the ruling has implications for consumers’ wallets, according to economists.

If the high court were to rule that certain tariffs are unconstitutional, it could yield financial relief for consumers, who have at least partly borne the cost of those import taxes via higher prices, economists said.

The tariffs in question are those levied under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977.

The Trump administration used the IEEPA as a legal pathway to impose tariffs on a broad swath of trading partners and raise the tariff rate on imports to their highest level since the early 20th century. No president had previously used the law to impose tariffs."  (our emphasis)

As one of many of his violations of the Constitution, with the consent of his spineless lackeys in Congress, the MF's imposition of tariffs across the world was used as a weapon and a tool of his revenge, rather than under any real provision in the emergency act.  Ironically, his MAGAt-majority Supreme Court may save his lawless hide if they strike down his authority, and give consumers a lift this election year.  Of course, this Supreme Court has regularly bowed to the MF, so the tariffs might stand despite the obvious conflict with the Constitution.

No one should forget his tariffs hurt not only U.S. consumers and our export economy, but also our allies abroad who found it more difficult to sell their products here.  The damage will be lasting.

UPDATE: Just after we posted this, the Supreme Court struck down the MF's tariff ploy, rejecting his use of the emergency economic act as a means to enact tariffs on most nations in the world.  BIG loss for his agenda, and raises issues of repayment of $175 billion to importers who paid the tariffs.
