The corrupt, repressive and reactionary regime of Saudi Arabia, led by the evil Crown Prince Mohammed bin "Bone Saw" Salman, is urging the reckless and malleable Malignant Fascist to finish off the regime in Tehran, even to the point of putting soldiers on the ground. According to the New York effing Times:
"Saudi Arabia’s de facto leader, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has been pushing President Trump to continue the war against Iran, arguing that the U.S.-Israeli military campaign presents a 'historic opportunity' to remake the Middle East, according to people briefed by American officials on the conversations.
In a series of conversations over the last week, Prince Mohammed has conveyed to Mr. Trump that he must press toward the destruction of Iran’s hard-line government, the people familiar with the conversations said.
Prince Mohammed, the people familiar with the discussions said, has argued that Iran poses a long-term threat to the Gulf that can only be eliminated by getting rid of the government." (our emphasis)
Regime change! Just what the MAGA cult wanted their cult leader to get involved in. Bone Saw's prescription parallels the goal of the right-wing Israeli regime under Netanyahu, and would ensure long-term U.S. engagement in the Gulf region in the form of a wider war.
It's worth noting that the Saudis have their own, infamous history of supporting terrorism, most prominently the 9-11 attack where all but two of the hijackers were Saudi, as well as al-Qaeda and it's leader Osama bin Laden, a wealthy Saudi national, and as the cradle of Wahhabism. Spare us the talk about "threats", when the Saudis have contributed mightily to them internationally. Maybe we should expand "regime change" to other nation sponsors of terrorism.

Who will be the first major leader that the Iranians assassinate now that Israel and the US have made that the new norm in international conflict between nations? It'll take them a little while to execute since they were probably surprised by the ending of that norm. What goes around, comes around.
